The Greek Fest committee at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Madison has created a new event coming to you on May 16, 2026. "It's Taverna Night" will give you the opportunity to enjoy delicious Greek food two ways:

Mini-Greek Fest on the church grounds during the afternoon/early evening of Sat. May 16th, where you can enjoy ready-to-eat gyros, souvlaki and more!

Preorders of family-packs of to-go food items, with pickup the morning of May 16th. NOTE: Online store cutoff was April 26, 2026. If you didn't get a chance to order one of our family to-go packs, please join us at the Mini Greek Fest on the church grounds--Sat. May 16 from 11am - 7pm.

NOTE: This is not a replacement of our regular Greek Fest! "It's Taverna Night" gives you a taste of Greece and the Mediterranean during the springtime.

The full selection of food and baked goods (including our member-made spinach pies and baklava) will be available later in the year during these two events:

"It's Taverna Night"

11 N. 7th St, Madison.

Please join us at the church for an outdoor Mini-Greek Fest / Taverna Night where you can dine on some of our more popular food items!

The Taverna Night will feature individual gyros, souvlaki (kebab) dinners, spinach pie dinners, desserts, beer, wine and soft drinks. All food will be hot and ready-to-eat!

Street parking available around the church. You may also park in the lot at Emerson Elementary School, 2421 E Johnson St, Madison.

Mini Greek Fest on church grounds, Sat. May 16, 2026.

"It's Taverna Night" / "Taverna To-Go" is a NEW event we are introducing to our friends and neighbors in Spring 2026.

Later in the year we are still hosting our other two events that you've grown to love! Both of these events will feature our member-made spanakopita, baklava and cookies:

Greek Fest+ on Sept. 12, 2026, which will feature a larger dinner menu, full bake sale & cafe, tours, DJ, dancing, and marketplace.

Baklava+ online sale in Oct/Nov 2026 with a full array of specialty food offerings, including the member-made baklava, spanakopita, meatballs and cookies.
